Phrom Phong station (Thai: สถานีพร้อมพงษ์, RTGS: Sathani Phrom Phong, pronounced [sā.tʰǎː.nīː pʰrɔ́ːm pʰōŋ]) is a BTS Skytrain station running on the Sukhumvit Line located between Khlong Toei and Watthana Districts, Bangkok, Thailand. The station traverses the Sukhumvit Road at Soi Phrom Phong (Soi Sukhumvit 39). This area is one of the country’s popular shopping destinations. The station is linked by skybridge going to EmQuartier and The Emporium shopping malls.

Thanks to the namesake BTS station, Phrom Phong now covers a sizeable area along Sukhumvit road that includes Soi Sukhumvit 22, 24 and 26 in the south and Soi Sukhumvit 35 and 39 (which is the original Phrom Phong) in the north. This area is just a little farther away from the south of the BTS Green Line, placing it in between Asok and Thong Lor.

This place is known as a world-class shopping district. It is also one of the most upscale neighborhoods in Bangkok where going to the malls can mean rubbing shoulders with some of the popular personalities as well as many high-income crowds including Korean and Japanese expats.

The neighborhood has many highlights, but the most popular are the three world-class shopping malls, namely the EM Quartier, The Emporium and the EM Sphere. Right next to The Emporium is the Benjasiri Park, a popular landmark in the area. This city park serves as a green haven in the middle of the city. Also scattered in the area are lively bars, restaurants, and many engaging attractions.

Phrom Phong is all about elegance and sophistication. Over the years, it worked hard to become an exclusive part of the capital city. Over the years, it has become a well-established shopping center and tourist destination. Coincidentally, real estate properties here are performing well.

WHY YOU SHOULD Seek for a serviced office IN Phrom Phong, Sukhumvit

To see and be seen

If you are in the area, the high-end malls are hard to miss. You could buy almost anything from these malls including luxurious and designer brands.

Locals and tourists alike also frequent the Benjasiri Park which is just next to the Emporium. This green space has become a small community where people play basketball, jog, do tai chi, or simply roam around. It also has a skate park and a swimming pool. Moreover, there is a huge lake in the middle of the park which is where people gather to celebrate Loy Krathong and other Thai traditions.

If you follow the footpaths from the main road, you will find chic cafes, boutiques, shops, odd second-hand bookstores or shops selling classic art paintings.

Craving for authentic Middle Eastern food? You can also easily find them in Phrom Phong along with other restaurants that offer other cuisines from different countries in Asia, Middle East and Europe.

Phrom Phong does not have many nightclubs compared to the neighboring Thong Lor or Soi 11, but there are also entertainment areas in this place such as The Robin Hood and The Royal Oak where you can see live sports and entertainment events.

Everything you need is a few minutes away

There are many places to visit and see in Phrom Phong, and fortunately, it’s not that difficult to cover much on foot as many of these places are just a short walking distance from each other.

The success of Phrom Phong made it become a sought-after place among expatriate communities and businesses. Yoga studios, spas, restaurants, bars, language schools and co-working spaces thrive in the area to cater to the demand.

The downside to all this progress is that as more and more people frequent this area, unsurprisingly, you can also expect heavy traffic especially along the Sukhumvit Road. With traffic in consideration, sometimes, you can cover more ground if you just explore Phrom Phong on foot.

So many options for dining, drinking, and entertainment

Phrom Phong’s status as a shopping district can be attributed partly to the presence of the Emporium which opened in 1997. It is home to many luxurious global brands. They also have a well-stocked department store that sells almost anything you would possibly need. Today, the Emporium has become a part of the EM District which also includes the EmQuartier.
